What is Web 2.5?
It can be called 3-D Data, with brevity focusing on core Business applications, which saves enormous time and money, energy and resources.
Internet evolved with APRANET, then came DOS-with black screen and programming with cobol, pascal, fortran, C language etc.
The internet landscape changed with Gopher networks and later with the invention of Browser by Mr. Tim Berners-Lee, from which emerged the http concept and worldwide web in 1990. The real revolution started after the release of Windows-95 Operating system in 1995, where millions of PCs turned color from Black and White. This entire period of growth of Internet till 2000 dotcom bubble burst can be termed as Web 1.0. Then emerged web 2.0 where by the internet projects started generating user generated content through blogs, forums and social networking and made a profound impact in the media and freedom of speech worldwide.
Web 2.0 existed for long time, but became prominent in the last 10 years with evolving internet technologies. Web 1.0 was "read-only", Web 2.0 is "read-write", and Web 3.0 will be "read-write-execute. Web 3.0 is the beginning point of real time applications in large scale internet technologies and is still in infancy.
